The line graph shows the visits to and from the UK in
millions from 1979 to 1999, meanwhile the bar graph illustrates where the
visitors from UK went along these 20 years. Overall, there were a steady upward
trend in both visits and the country that was the most visited was France
throughout the period.
To begin the visits from UK to abroad were always over the
visits who came to UK. The difference was minimal in 1979 (approximately 1
million), but then this was being growing, reaching around 50 million the
visits abroad in 1999 being nearly the double of the overseas visits which got
just under 30 million.
Regarding to the visits from UK, France was the country most
selected with over 10 million, followed by Spain at under 10 million. The
remaining countries (USA, Greece and Turkey) were far less popular than the
others by almost 5%, 4% and 2%, respectively.
